Did you know that there are more than 8 parts of speech in the English language?

Traditionally, we learned:

Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction, Interjection

But modern grammar goes a step further!

It adds:

Determiners (a/an, the, this, my)

Numerals (like one, two, third)

These help us to be more precise in our writing and speaking.

Let’s look at examples:

This lovely book is my favorite.

(“This” and “my” are determiners!)
